It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Melvin Krueger. Dave, 70, passed away on June 25, 2024 at his home in Lakemoor, IL and was born on December 06, 1953 in Evanston, IL.
Dave was a loving father and dedicated grandfather. Aside from being known for his love for sharing stories, immense kindness, and generosity he was a very proud farmer. Dave's parents, Melvin and Anita Krueger, started Krueger's Vegetable Farm in 1957 in Lakemoor, IL which he ran during his time farming. He started as the president of the Lake County Young Farmers Committee to eventually serve as a director for the Lake County Farm Bureau Board of Directors since 1985. Dave was also currently serving on the Executive Committee and served as a chairman of the Building Committee. Dave was a remarkable, dad, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by his daughter: Sara (Tim) Geist; his grandchildren: Logan Ollenburg, Kaleb Ollen
