Steve Fredrick Kleinhans, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, in Barrington, IL. Born on December 20, 1945, in Chicago, IL, Steve's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to everyone around him. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kleinhans; his daughter, Amber Axelson, and son-in-law Ethan; his adored grandchildren, Jakob, Kilynn, and Hailey; and his brother, Jeff Kleinhans, and sister-in-law Kathy. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucile (Piper) Kleinhans.
Steve's life was one of dedication and joy. He married the love of his life, Linda Beck, on November 13, 1976, in a beautiful ceremony at Fredrick Lutheran Church in St. Thomas. Together, they created a life filled with adventure and happiness. Steve's passion for boating and his love for the water were evident to all who knew him.
