Scott Dale Karsten passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1961 to Dale and Jane (Nicklas) Karsten and the world welcomed a truly unique guy!
He grew up in Fox River Grove where he met the love of his life, Lynn Bringe, and married her 39 years ago. But the proudest day of his life was the day his son, Dale William, was born.
Scott loved to work and was a gifted mechanic and welder. He held many varied positions in his career and was proud that he retired as head of maintenence for the Seele Corporation.
Scott was a hot rodder who loved to spend time in his garage working on classic old trucks not only for himself, but for his many friends as well. His garage was his happy place and his motto was "Nothing is junk until I say it's junk."
He loved going to junk yards, swap meets and cruise nights. Four things his pickups had in common: They were Fords, they were loud, he gave them names and they were lit up to the max. His pride and joy was his 1964 award win
