Robert Burg Born: July 17, 1961 in Woodstock, IL Died: August 18, 2024 in McHenry, IL Robert "Bobby" Burg, 63, of Woodstock, Illinois, passed away on August 18th 2024 in McHenry, Illinois after a brief battle with cancer. Bobby was born in Woodstock to Joseph and Mary Ellen Burg on July 17, 1961. The fourth of five children, his love of family ran deep. He was an accomplished football player and graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1980 and went on to join the Woodstock Rural Fire Department at the age of 19. His desire to take care of others was evident over the years as he continued his career in the medical profession as a paramedic & fireman in Woodstock and Addison, Illinois where he received an award for his service. Later, his passion for cooking became a second career as he worked in catering and food service. He was also an award-winning BBQ grill master. Over the last few years, he held managerial positions with Casey's in Woodstock and Crystal Lake,
