Estelle Martin, 96, of Huntley, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born during the Great Depression on December 30, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Christine (Magoulis) Vlahogeorge. She married Glenn Robert Martin in Chicago on June 7, 1953. He preceded her in death.
Estelle spent her whole life in Illinois, and settled in the Crystal Lake/Huntley area for more than twenty years. Earlier in life, she and Glenn co-owned Estelle's Lounge, a restaurant named for her. She was a dedicated member of her community, and volunteered as an usher for the Raue Arts Center, at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, and with the Crystal Lake and Huntley Park Districts. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to numerous clubs in the Del Webb community. Up until the very end, she kept up with an active lifestyle, and made sure to have her schedule filled.
