Betty Bland, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Woodstock, Illinois. Born in Chicago to Robert and Lillian Hayford, Betty grew up in Palatine, Illinois. She moved to Londonderry, N.H., with her husband Peter in 1984 and worked for Home Insurance, where she made many lifelong friends. Betty was outgoing, welcoming new neighbors with freshly baked pies, baking yearly Christmas treats for everyone, having giggling girls lunches, and fun board-game-night dinner parties in her home. Friends cherished her wise advice and generous help.Betty and her late husband, Peter, were supporters of Animal Allies, as well as enthusiastic members of the British Car Club of NH, and active in their annual Show of Dreams to raise money for the New Hampshire Food Bank. Betty was predeceased by her dear husband Peter, her parents and a sister. She is survived by a brother and sister in Illinois; her two children, Robert (Susan) Eccker of Illinois and Julie Threlfall of North Carolina; five grandchild
