Sandra (Sandy) Bykowski,of McHenry and Bensonville IL, passed away on March 22, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1941 in Chicago, IL to parents Fredrick and Irene (Stawinoga) Bykowski.
For three decades, Sandy served as a devoted Physical Education teacher at Itasca Junior High School, where she inspired countless students to embrace the joy of physical activity. Her fiery spirit transcended the classroom; she coached with fervor, encouraging each child to reach their full potential. A proud alumna of North Central College in Naperville where she played college basketball, Sandy's athletic ability was evident in every facet of her life. Whether on the court or in the field, she excelled in any sport she undertook, carving out a legacy that spoke volumes about her commitment, resilience, and appreciation for the competitive spirit.
